Reid tops first Brno testing session

Auto GP fired up the engines this morning, with the cars getting on track for the first testing session of the Brno Event.

It was a very useful hour of testing, because lots of drivers were at their first time on the Lola B05/52 Zytek car and took advantage of the session to get acquainted with the car and with the track.

With teams working on different priority schedules, laptimes can't give a clear idea of the drivers' pace, but anyway the first driver to top a session of Auto GP testing was Jonny Reid.

The SuperNova driver stopped the clock on a 1'44"635 time, with Edoardo Piscopo, with the #3 DAMS car, just 6 hundredths of a second adrift. The duo had just a 2 tenths gap to Adrien Tambay, who managed to stay in front of Adrian Zaugg, Jan Charouz and Duncan Tappy, with Giorgio Pantano seventh in front of Walter Grubmueller and Stefano Bizzarri, with Leal closing the top ten. In the schedule of the day another two hours of testing aren planned, with all the drivers and the teams working hard to find the best possible setup for the event.
