REID PREPARES WITH FOND MEMORIES OF TERETONGA
Porsche Racer Jonny Reid is looking forward to getting back on the racing circuit this weekend after a relaxing holiday break over Christmas and New Year.
Not having competitively driven on the Teretonga racing circuit in Invercargill since 2003, Reid has positive memories from his last race in the deep south where he took the title of New Zealand Grand Prix winner. “It’s a wide circuit and it flows nicely. It is a track where you need to look after your tyres though, but if I do that, I think the weekend will work nicely.” Said Reid.
Not having raced at Teretonga for seven years doesn’t faze Reid. “I walked the track yesterday and I’m sure that after practice I will feel at home. My aim is to build toward a good qualification, then let the racing take care of itself. I’m relaxed and excited to be here again.”
Reid is currently fourth in the GT3 Cup Challenge heading into the third round of the series.
